Background

Biography

I was born and raised in Bajestan, Khorasan, Iran. I attended a high school, which was owned and run by the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET) of Iran. I studied Telecommunications Engineering as an undergraduate student in Azad University of Mashhad. I chose Electrical Engineering as a major because I believed that it would cultivate my creativity and enhance my problem solving skills. Future of human beings relies heavily on applications of science so this is the duty of engineers to stay up-to-date and come up with novel solutions and ideas to overcome upcoming real-life challenges. Consequently, electrical engineering plays an enormous role in the development of future technology and I enjoy contributing to its advancements.

Undergraduate Study

During my undergraduate studies in the Engineering and Science Department, useful courses provided me with profound knowledge in many sub-areas of my major. Upon graduation, I was able to secure a high rank in a nationwide entrance exam and attended University of Tehran to study Electronics Engineering in my masters. In my master’s studies, I conducted several experiments and projects, the details of which are elaborated in my resume. I have also translated a prominent book on Electrical Circuits.

Master Study

I conducted a research for my Master’s thesis, ”BioParticles Separation with Dielectrophoresis”, under the supervision of Prof. Fathipour. I started this project through modeling and simulation of particle trajectories in microfluidic devices (using MATLAB and COMSOL) in Transactions on Computer-Aided Design (TCAD) lab. Besides, I have published a conference paper, ”Simulation of particle separation in microfluidic devices” on the same topic. Next, I fabricated the devices I designed based on these simulations. Currently, I am working as the manager of MEMS and NEMS Lab's cleanroom in University of Tehran.
